Get clear on what you’re building before you build the rest of it.
Most new companies don’t have a logo or marketing problem. They have a clarity problem. When you’re not clear on your brand foundation (your purpose, vision, values, and mission), every decision—what to say yes to, who to hire, what your website should say—is harder than it needs to be.
Ready to start defining your vision, values, and mission?
My three workbooks walk you through step-by-step:
Vision Statement. Uncover the future you’re working toward, with prompts and real-world examples to spark ideas.
Core Values. Pin down the handful of principles that guide how you work, using a 90+ word starter list.
Mission Statement. Get clear on what you do, who you serve, and why it matters, with clear instructions on how to draft it.
Plus an FAQ and a “Smart Voices” reading list in each.
What’s the difference between your purpose, vision, values, and mission?
Don’t want to go it alone?
As a founder myself, I know all too well how hard it can be to see clearly from inside your own business. That’s why it’s worth doing this work with someone like me. I’ll ask the hard questions, and help you find the answers that are uniquely yours.
Because here’s the thing: your vision, values, and mission are only part of the picture. Without a clear sense of why you’re doing this (your purpose), who you serve (your customers), and who you’re up against (your competition), even the best-worded statements won’t hold up. That foundation comes first, and it’s the part that’s hardest to get right when you’re doing it all alone.
Work with Me 1:1
Work in a Cohort
You’ll do the same foundational work alongside a small group of founders. More affordable than 1:1, and the peer feedback is its own kind of magic.
Deep, tailored, and focused entirely on your business. We’ll lay the foundation first, then move on to messaging. Once that’s in place, you’ll have a roadmap to build a brand identity, website, and marketing that resonate.
Your questions, answered.
I’m a solo founder. Do I really need to think about this stuff And how can I afford it?
If anything, it matters more when it's just you. Every yes and no runs through you, so the clearer you are on what you’re building, the less second-guessing you’ll do later. That said, you don’t have to start with me. The free workbooks will take you a long way on your own, and a cohort (coming soon) will make the guided version more accessible than 1:1. Start where you can, but start now!
How do I know if I have the right mission, vision, and values?
A good gut-check: do they actually help you make decisions? If you can read your values and know which opportunity to turn down, or read your vision and feel pulled toward it, they’re working. If they sound nice but you’ve never once used them to guide you in your business, they’re decoration. And that usually means the foundation needs another look.
Why can’t I just do all of this on my own?
You can, but the hardest part isn’t the writing, it’s s seeing your own business clearly from the inside. That’s the value of working with someone like me. I’ll ask the questions you can't (or won’t) ask yourself, and call you on the the things you’re too close to see.
